The Neal & Massy Rainbow Cup Triathlon proves to be a Force for Good
On April 26, scores of athletes and spectators gathered at Turtle Beach Heritage Park in Tobago to participate in and witness the 2012 edition of the Neal & Massy Rainbow Cup Triathlon.
This entertaining event drew a number of local participants and attracted competitors from all over the globe including Barbados, Bermuda, Suriname, Canada and Scotland. For the first time this year, Neal & Massy partnered with event organizers, Rainbow Warriors Triathlon Club, because of the unique opportunity to get involved in an event that embraces many of the values we endorse. With its focus on health and wellness, family bonding and community involvement, the Triathlon had persons of all ages and varying fitness levels being cheered on by supporters as they made their way to the finish line.
Young athletes who participated in the first-ever Secondary Schools Triathlon Championships made their mark as they walked away with several prizes for their outstanding feats. Triple amputee Rajesh Durbal stole the day with his inspiring performance in the Olympic distance race and received high commendation from President and Group CEO of Neal & Massy Gervase Warner, who also competed in the race and placed in the 13th position. Mr. Warner congratulated Mr. Durbal on his resolve to go the distance.
Neal & Massy will continue to champion the message of health and wellness, determination and fun and we look forward to deepening our partnership with the Rainbow Warriors Triathlon Club and expanding the pool of employees to participate in the race in 2013.
