Phantom Black, Ocean Blue, Copper Penny and Sleek Silver are only some of the colours in which the newly designed Hyundai Accent and Elantra are available.
Wednesday 27th July, Neal & Massy Automotive Limited launched the brand new 2001 Hyundai Accent and Elantra models at its showroom, located at Lady Young Road, Morvant.
Along with its sleek curves, both cars come fully equipped with Blue pack (fuel efficiency package), auxiliary jacks to accommodate the use of ipod and mp3 players, Bluetooth hands free systems, an engine start push button and a steering remote control. Gasoline and diesel engine options are also available for the Hyundai Accent.
“Hyundai current typeface signifies youthfulness, freshness, as well as brands progressiveness and confidence,” said dealer enhancement programme manager, Jessie Kim.
Although the South Korean car company has faced challenges due to the economy, they have been able to revamp the image of their cars across varying automotive markets.
“Even in difficult global economic environment, we recorded remarkable growth to 3.61 million vehicles sold in the global market. In America, the birthplace of the automotive industry, we broke the record and sold 500,000 vehicles for the first time,” said Mr. Kim.
Kim also added, “In China, which has become the world’s top automotive market, we recorded record sale and in Russia a new factory has been completed.”
In addition to this, Kim stated that sales in the South and Central American markets are positioned to increase by 18 percent. He said that since Neal & Massy Automotive Ltd. Launched Hyundai in 1992, sales have only increased.
“We have sold 311 units in 2003 and have grown rapidly to 1,000 units, and are expecting more than 1,500 units in this year.”
The 2011 Elantra was voted number one for its compact sedan in the July issue of Motor Trend magazine against global automotive car brands such as Civic and Corolla.

This philosophy incorporated a desire to deliver real value to modern consumers, by designing cars that combine artistic and elegant lines with premiere features, that were sensitive to the need for eco friendly cars and finally that were fun to drive,” said Neal & Massy Automotive CEO, David Jardim.
The 2011 Hyundai Accent starts at TT$149,000, while the 2011 Hyundai Elantra starts at TT$169,000.
